The following article is presents a manual for the use of cognitive-behavior therapy with individuals who abuse or are dependent on cocaine. It covers the general principles and structure of cognitive-behavior therapy, reviews supporting research and provides examples of key areas that should be covered in working with cocaine-addicted individuals. These include managing cravings, thoughts of cocaine, reducing availability, enhancing motivation, eliciting the support of significant others and more.
