The Baker Act and the Marchman Act are governing statutes only for the state of Florida. Other states may or may not have their equivalent to Florida's Baker and Marchman Acts.
1. You will learn the common goals of the Baker and Marchman Acts.
2. You will also learn three significant differences between the two statutes.
3. You will be introduced to five important terms which will assist you in understanding procedures in both the Baker and Marchman Acts.
4. Demonstrate your competency to correctly answer the questions on a series of section posttests covering the Baker and Marchman Acts.
Description:
The Baker and Marchman Acts module consists of an introduction to both the Baker Act and the Marchman Act (also known as the Florida Mental Health Act Part I Chapter 394 F.S., and Alcohol and Drug Services Act part V Chapter 397, respectively) - one on the Baker Act and one on the Marchman Act.
Each section consists of several sequential sections (seven for the Baker Act and four for the Marchman Act). Each section ends with a posttest.
